- 3 ripe avocados
- ½ cup fire-roasted Hatch green chiles peeled, seeded, chopped
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- 1 small tomato diced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Cracked black pepper to taste
Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a bowl.
Mash with a fork until smooth but slightly chunky.
Add chopped green chiles, red onion, tomato (if using), lime juice, and cilantro.
Sprinkle in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Stir gently to combine.
Taste and adjust salt/lime to your liking.
Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap pressed to surface to avoid browning.
